Topo Chico Hard Seltzer —the new kid on the block!

The global soft drinks conglomerate, The Coca-Cola Company, has re-entered the alcohol beverages business with their new cheeky hard seltzer brand, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, an alcohol drink that blends flavours with sparkling water. The Coca-Cola Company had previously been a player in the alcohol beverages space in the last century, from 1977 to 1983, when the Atlanta-based giant owned wine subsidiary Wine Spectrum — having purchased Taylor wines of New York, a portfolio that included Taylor, Sterling Vineyards and Monterey Vineyard, that was sold to Joseph E. Seagram and Sons for a reported US $200 Million. Taylor wines had an established 90-year history, and in its near-century existence, had grown to the sixth-largest company in the wine business with its notable distribution network and a noteworthy reputation with its consumers, shoppers and customers.
